We were not leaving until 10.00 am this morning so there was no great rush to get out of bed. Breakfast was in the dining room today and then we were out the front to catch the bus for our sightseeing tour. We enjoyed a tour around Paris with our tour guide telling us about everything and a few stops along the way to look at different things. Then it was off to the Eiffel Tower for lunch on the first level in the dining room. First it was to get up there, there were queues a mile long but as usual when you travel with a group and pre purchase your tickets you walk past the queues. It only took about 15 minutes and we were in the lift and on our way up, the views were fantastic, a nice sunny day and very clear sky with no haze it was great along with plenty of cameras clicking away.
Lunch included a great three course meal with wine, beer and soft drinks thrown in. We then had a little bit of time for a look around before we had to wait for a lift and get back down to ground level again and back to the coach to return to the hotel for an afternoon at leisure.
Tonight most people in the group were going out to a very popular show that has been running in Paris for many years, Moulin Rouge a musical combined with other acts to make up the show. The package that they purchased includes their dinner, tour ticket and their transport. It’s a great night out, the people that stayed at the hotel had either been before or were suffering from the flu and just decided on an early night. Sue and I just had some dinner in a restaurant across the road and had an early night. Everyone that went to the show had a great night out and really enjoyed it.
