Arrived in Vienna this morning, after a delicious breakfast we are all off the river ship to do a tour of some sort, some are heading to a palace while others are doing a walking tour of the city centre. On arrival in the city everyone gets out of their coach and divides into groups with their tour guide and we are off, our guide starts our walking tour by pointing out places of interest and telling us all the history of the area including the cathedral and the world renowned Lipizzaner horse shows of the Spanish Riding School. Most of these horses are born brown and some black but as they grow to an adult they change to white, it takes many years of training before they can compete. At the end of our walking tour we had some free time to have a look around, enjoy a coffee and sat back and enjoyed some people watching in this very busy spectacular city. After enjoying lunch on the river ship there was quite a few passengers that chose to go to a theatre to see an operatic event created especially for the passengers of the many river ships. This is very much appreciated by the passengers as it’s a great opportunity as not everyone can say they have been to an event like this in Vienna. Once all passengers are back on the river ship it’s time for dinner again, the food so far on this trip has been magnificent. Back to the lounge for some entertainment in the way of a quiz show, a couple of drinks for a nightcap and then off to bed for another busy day tomorrow.
