We were leaving Las Vegas today after three nights we were ready to move on, breakfast and then on the bus. Not a real busy day today a bit of time for a rest, we called at Calico the ghost town that has become a big tourist attraction and there were people everywhere and tour coaches lined up in the bus parking area. We had about an hour here to wander around have a look at more gift shops and have another ice cream. Buy a couple more souvenirs, it was known for its mines, mainly silver, it had over 500 mines in its hey day and started in 1887 and at its peak it produced 86 million dollars worth of silver and 45 million in Borax, it also had 22 saloons, a China town and a red light district.

We had lunch today in the new town of Calico at the in out burger fast food shop very fast. We arrived at our Anaheim hotel, settled into our room and then went to have dinner at a Chinese restaurant. Chinese is about the only food we hadn’t tried up until now so we thought we would give that a shot, the food was good and there was plenty of it so I think everyone was content by the time we all had finished. As usual it was just a quick call to Steve our driver and he came and picked us up and returned us to our hotel for a couple of night caps and off to bed as tomorrow we were off to Disneyland!
