Today is a FREE day! After asking around it seemed like not too many people had planned anything so I suggested that for those that were interested we go over the road to Central Station and buy an all-day pass for travel around Sydney and catch the train to Circular Quay and then a ferry across to Manly. We had some lunch and a walk around, have a look at the shops and beaches before making our way back to Circular Quay via the ferry. So out of the 42 passengers, 34 decided to join us, others were meeting family or friends, shopping or sightseeing on their own.
By about 10.30 am we were on our way from the hotel to the train station. I think most people enjoyed their train ride under the city and then we arrived at Circular Quay. The weather had improved and it was a great trip across the harbour and a beautiful sunny day when we arrived in Manly. When we got back to Circular Quay about half the group wanted to check out the Rocks and the Opera House, they went with Sue and I took the rest back to our hotel on the train and then went back to pick them up . A great day was had by all.
Everyone enjoyed the pub meal the night before so most of them went back again for another meal. The Chef had grin from ear to ear when he saw them all come back again! Tomorrow we get on board the ship, everyone is getting very excited.
