Leaving Mount Gambier this morning with passengers eager for our cruise across the Bass Strait, ready for our Apple Isle tour. Morning tea at Port Fairy was lovely with a slight breeze getting us ready perhaps for the sea breezes we might experience tonight. Lunch at Colac and some lucky ladies were even able to have some retail therapy at some new shops as well. On arrival into Port Melbourne we enjoyed afternoon tea while waiting to board the Spirit of Tasmania. After Sue picked up tickets and boarding passes it was time to unload all the passengers with their overnight gear. The coach then headed to the waiting bay to wait for the call to drive the coach onto the boat.
After settling into our cabins there was time to explore the many onboard facilities. A delicious meal at the Tasmanian Market Kitchen was enjoyed then the evening was free. Many were able to view the special moon while moving across the sea. Others checked the bars and caught up on stories in conversation with old and new friends and others had an early night.
A good sailing was experienced by us all!
