A beautiful sunny morning for us all to wake up to this morning. The birds and animals wondering around not worried by us again. After breakfast it is time to visit the Platypus House and Seahorse World for our morning tours at Beauty Point. We had guided tours at both places all learning about the platypus, echidna and the many seahorses, we all learnt and saw so much. Lunch was served sandwiches, savouries and cakes with tea and coffee enjoyed by us all before moving on to the gold mining town of Beaconsfield.
In Beaconsfield we took a guided tour of the mining site, seeing the historical machinery and museum. Then we were able to relive the disaster and rescue of the miners in April 2006. We all left here feeling a little flat as many of us had watched it all live on TV. Next off to the Batman Bridge, a cable stay bridge 208 metres long. We enjoyed afternoon tea in a lovely sheltered spot under the bridge.
Next off to Bradeys lookout to view the Tamar River and Valley. Wow what a lovely sight for those of us that walked to the lookout. Those that stayed in the coach still had a lovely view from the coach. The cameras were very busy today with lots of editing to happen tonight after dinner. We had free time for the rest of the day so some rested, packed their cases or even caught up on the laundry before having another beautiful evening meal.
